Don’t miss the book launch and exhibition opening for the new zoning plan of České Budějovice! We look forward to seeing you on Wednesday, June 10, 2026, from 5:00 PM at the newly reconstructed Slavie Cultural Centre.

The South Bohemian metropolis has the ambition to become the most successful regional center in the Czech Republic, and the new zoning plan is intended to serve as one of the fundamental tools to achieve this goal. Furthermore, the city expects a population increase in the near future. Therefore, in collaboration with OMGEVING (BE), Studio MAP (CZ), Studio Relinkt (CZ), and Štěpán Špoula, we have designed a vision for the zoning plan that focuses not only on sustainable development and the 15-minute city strategy, but also on its resilience to climate change. All this while preserving its natural, landscape, and cultural wealth.

Our shared goal is for České Budějovice to be a thriving Central European regional center with a high quality of life for its residents and high-quality, functional urban planning. We want to create a city that is enjoyable for its citizens, as well as for its neighbors and visitors.
