PHAP in Helsinki!

Our studio headed to Helsinki to get inspired and explore the local contemporary architecture. And there was definitely a lot to admire.

We really appreciate how Finnish architecture focuses on quality, thoughtful details, and materials that can withstand harsh northern conditions. We were also impressed by the number of public buildings of truly high quality – from libraries and schools to cultural centres and transport infrastructure.Where else can you borrow an electric guitar or a sewing machine in a public library?

Helsinki is a great example of how contemporary architecture and urbanism can be functional, welcoming, and visually appealing at the same time. We’re glad we could experience it in person and bring back plenty of inspiration.
