Zeleneč Community Centre has its foundation stone!

What started as a design on paper is now becoming reality! On Monday, 10 August 2026, the foundation stone of the Zeleneč Community Centre was ceremonially laid — marking an important milestone for the project based on our winning competition proposal.

The new building will provide Zeleneč with a place for community life, culture, movement, and everyday encounters, bringing together a multipurpose hall, café, club rooms, an exercise studio, and a library. The three pitched-roof volumes open towards the pond and, together with the transformation of its surroundings, will create a new natural centre for the village.

Thanks in no small part to the excellent cooperation with the municipality, the project has been moving forward at an exceptionally fast pace by Czech standards. The architectural competition was launched only at the beginning of 2024, and today we are already marking the laying of the foundation stone. Completion is scheduled for February 2028.

We look forward to seeing Zeleneč gradually take on the form we have so far known mainly from drawings and visualisations.
